Advertising and law graduate Kumod Kumar has been active in the field of media marketing for the last two decades. He started his career in Bihar with the leading newspaper Hindustan in 2001 and then moved to Dainik Jagran 2003. In his progressive career he was designated as the marketing head of the country's prestigious news magazine India Today in 2007 for Bihar, Jharkhand and Nepal for a period of 10 years. Since 2017, he holds the post of Chief Consultant in Chandragupta Institute of Management, Patna, a prestigious institute of the Government of Bihar. Kumod Kumar is also an advisor to the prestigious Rally Labs of USA.

Apart from this, Kumod Kumar is also actively associated with social organizations including the General Secretary,Bihar for the  National Security Jagaran Manch and besides that he is Bihar convenor of the Initiative for Moral and Cultural Training Foundation (IMCTF) under the patronage of S. Gurumurthy.
